I am a believer that God gives us more than we can handle. We wouldn’t need Him otherwise. If I always had a manageable life with manageable problems, what need would I have for God? If I handles all situations with kindness and the perfect words, where would my dependence on God’s forgiveness and mercy be?
People often interpret 1 Corinthians 10:13 wrong. This verse address temptations and how God is faithful to provide a “way out”, another option to sinning, in these times. If you are tempted beyond what you can handle, look around, and you’ll see another choice to get out of the temptation. This verse isn’t to be taken to mean that god won’t give us more than we can handle on a daily basis.
In life, what have you found effective when challenges come? I like to pray that God’s will be done in the situation. I “offer up” the situation and the outcome to Him. I mentally rehearse what His Word says about Him, and recall times in which He has been faithful to me. I tell Him I trust Him and I’m nervous, but I understand that I need to walk through what lies ahead.
